Terrible Image Processing

I was excited to try this free and elegant photo editing app, since Im in need of a simple tool for those quick tasks that dont need Photoshops power.

While the interface was clean and beautiful, this application unfortunately fails at the most important part of its job. It makes your photos look awful, even without any effects applied. Youll notice this immediately as soon as you open your image. Fotor must apply some sort of image pre-processing as it loads photos, and it really degrades the quality; particularly colour vibrancy.

Not convinced? Try this experiment: Load any image into Fotor, preferably one with rich colour. Now dont add any filter effects, or tweak any levels. Just load the image, then export it right away. Now use Finder and Preview to compare the exported photo with your original. See the difference?

Now Im not sure if this is intentional to make the filter effects appear more dramatic, or if its just poorly implemented image processing, but either way its bafflingly unacceptable for a photo editing application.
